Goods and Services Standard Development Committee

The Accessibility Advisory Board established a committee of members with expertise in service delivery to develop recommendations for an accessibility standard in the delivery and receipt of goods and services. This includes ensuring that persons with disabilities have equitable access to services.

The Goods and Services Standard Development Committee will develop recommendations focused on accessible service delivery.

About the committee

The majority of committee members identify as having a disability. Committee members include:

  • persons with disabilities
  • representatives from organizations that represent persons with disabilities
  • representatives from sectors impacted by the standards, like public and private service providers
  • representatives from the Department of Health and Wellness, Department of Opportunities and Social Development, and Service Nova Scotia
